Nyriel watched her mother closley. Elenia was looking at Laurel, obviously in conversation with the dragon. Finally she looked back to Galdrohk. "I do not know for sure where any powerful Druids lurk, but I think you will find them in dark, undesirable places. You might try looking there first. However, the other favor you ask of me is worrisome. Tracking a druid is dangerous work, and I don't know if I can send one of my people to what could possibly be his death with a good conscience. However, on the same note, I would feel equally as bad sending you away alone. Therefore, I will leave it up to the soldiers to decide. If any feel the need to accompany you, then they may, but if none chose to do so, I can only hope that safety and luck smile upon you, prince Galdrohk."
Nyriel was filled with a wild notion of accompanying Galdrohk on his quest. It would be perfectly safe for her with Nalura by her side, and Galdrohk looked capable of defending himself as well. Suddenly bold, Nyriel spoke up. "I will accompany him, mother." The queen glanced at her sharply.
"I'm afraid that is out of the question, my daughter. You are the only heir to this country, and I cannot see you put in harms way." Nyriel glared at the floor. We'll see about that, she thought. Her mother spoke again.
"Prince Galdrohk, while we await word from the soldiers, I would be happy to provide you with a room in the castle. Nyriel can show you there." Queen Elenia bowed her head in dismissal to Galdrohk, and Nyriel stood and walked briskly out of the throne room.

"Thank you for your wisdom queen Elenia." he said, bowing low again and following Nyriel out of the room. She was walking rather briskly and he jogged for a couple seconds to draw equal to her. It was obvious that her mother and her didn't agree on everything, it was heartening though to learn there could have been a volunteer. "And thank you too Nyriel, for volunteering. It is a shame you shant be able to come but I trust in the queen's wisdom."

Nyriel snorted, most un-princess like. "I don't know what you mean about 'not being able to come', because I am coming!" She stopped sharply at the end of a carpeted hallway. "Here's your room. The soldiers will have made their decision by tomorrow afternoon, if not sooner. I'll come by whenever everyones answered, and we can be on our way." She curtsied quickly. "If you'll excuse me, I need to pack." Turning, she set off to her quarters at the same quick pace, her heart beating wildly. Her mother was going to be furious when she discovered Nyriel was gone.

Galdrohk tried to talk to her again but she was already walking away. Princess Nyriel definitly had a mind of her own and Galdrohk wasn't sure if he could sway her opinion, then again he wasn't sure if he wanted to. Glad that he would have some help on his journey to right the many wrongs of this war Galdrohk went into his room and fell asleep in the luxurious deep bed. It was the best sleep he ever had.

Nyriel shut her room door quietly behind her, then rushed over to her elaborate wardrobe. Flinging the doors open, she threw traveling clothes onto her bed, an extra pair of black leather boots, and a slim sword along with its belt. At the bottom of the wardrobe, she unearthed an old travelling pack, which she filled quickly with the things on the bed. Food, she thought, and rushed back out of her room and to the kitchens. Nyriel, are you sure this is a good idea!?
Nyriel winced at Nalura's slightly angry voice. Yes, Nalura, I am. I want Galdrohk to succeed in his quest, and I'm almost positive no soldiers will join us. Why would they? So if I come, at least he'll have a rider on his side.
A hatchling... Nalura replied faintly. Rolling her eyes, Nyriel focused on making her face innocent and pleasant, and then slipped into the large kitchen. The head cook saw her immediately and bowed quickly.
"Well, what a nice surprise. Princess Nyriel, what brings you down to these stuffy kitchens?" Nyriel smiled sweetly.
"I came to fetch a weeks worht of provisions, madam. Nalura and I are going on a bit of a treck around the country, to check on the people." Nyriel had done the sort of thing before, she the head cook obeyed her without a question. The rotund woman eventually handed Nyriel a bulging sack of travel food. "Thank you very much, madam." The woman bowed again, then returned to her buisness. Once back outside and in a deserted corridor, Nyriel allowed her face to resume its anxious appearence. Finally, back in her room, Nyriel tucked the package of food away in her travel bag. Lastly, she belted on her sword and drew back her hair in a neat french braid. She usually never wore her hair back, so she thought people would have a harder time recognizing her. Finished packing, she fell onto her bed, exausted. Only a couple hours of sleep, she thought.
Nyriel! Wake up! Nyriel's eyes flashed open and quickly focused on her window. Sunlight streamed into the room. She groaned and rolled to her feet. It was nearly the afternoon! Grabbing a cloak, she threw it over her shoulders, snatched her travelling pack, and hurried to Galdrohk's room. She didn't bother to knock, but slipped inside quickly. "I'm ready, and as I expected, none of the soldiers have offered to join you." She kept her eyes on the ground, unsure if Galdrohk was decent or not.

Galdrohk was sitting on his bed sifting through his traveling supplies to make sure he had everything he needed, he was pondering the cost of food in the city when Nyriel burst in, fully clothed and looking ready for an adventure. A calm nights sleep had obviously done nothing to change her mind. "None?" Galdrohk asked, he supposed they had no reason to help Rolidin. "Oh, well, um." he faltered for a moment. "I guess I could leave here at any time but what about your mother? Won't she send people looking for you once you leave?"

"No, not for a while at least. I often take little trips with Nalura, so I assume she'll assume thats where I am." Nyriel risked at glance at Galdrohk. Thankfully, he was ready. "I apologize on behalf of the soldiers. I feel rather ashamed that none of them opted to join you". Before she could continue, a knock interupted her. She glanced at the door. "I'll get it." Marching over, she opened the door and peered outside. A young woman stood before her, a travel sack slung over her shoulder. She was dressed in emerald robes, and her hair was pitch black. The woman's eyes were a piercing green. She curtsied curtly to Nyriel.
"Princess Nyriel. I thought this was Prince Galdrohk's room?" Nyriel blushed, flustered.
"Well, it is. I was wishing him a safe journey." The woman nodded. "May I ask your name?"
"I am Athena, a mage of Mallar. I've come to join Galdrohk on his journey." Nyriel's spirits rose. At least someone had come.
"Excellent. Come in, quickly." Athena stepped in and curtsied again to Galdrohk. "Galdrohk, this is Athena. She claims to be a mage, and she is joing us." Athena glanced at her questioningly. "Yes, Athena, I'm going with Galdrohk. And you." The woman shrugged. "Right, well, lets get going then!" Nyriel pulled up the hood of her cloak again. At the door, she asked, "Do you two have horses?" Athena nodded. "Right, then I'll meet you at the field north of the city." She assumed Galdrohk must have one, because it was absurd to think he came all this way just by foot! With a final nod, she sped out of the room.
At the dragon stables, a massive tower, both tall and wide with immense windows, Nyriel quickly found Nalura, strapped on the golden dragon's saddle, and clambored onto her back, fastening security straps. "To the northern field, Nalura." With a roar of assent, Nalura launched off her perch and dove threw a window. Once outside, she unfurled her wings and angled towards the field.

"A mage..." Galdrohk said quietly. He wondered if they would some form of magical location. If any one had a mean of divining the location of a powerful druid it would probably be a mage. Now with a party three strong Galdrohk was sure they could find and destroy any evil force the came across them. "It is a pleasure Athena. I am afraid we will have to exhcange some pleasantries later, now we must ride." he gave a short bow and walked past her out of the door.
OOC: I think I'll have to make some one evil. It always seems to go with Galdrohk first followed right up by Turreck... He could make a mean little druid/thief/assassin/crazy dude.

"But of course, my lord," Athena said, and followed Galdrohk out the door. She set a brisk pace to the castle stables, and once there, she ordered her horse saddled and brought to her. The stablehand obeyed promptly, and within in moments, Athena's roan steed was brought around to her, ready to ride. "Thank you" she said offhandly to the man, who mumbled you welcome. Setting her left foot in the stirrup, she swung up onto the saddle easily. Her horse frisked where she stood, but Athena kept her in check with a sure hand on the reigns. The stable hand was now bringing Galdrohk's horse to him. The old man had assumed the prince wouldn't want to do the task himself. Still, he should have awaited orders first. Athena watched from the corner of her eye what Galdrohk's reaction would be while she straightened her robes and pulled on a black cloak. OOC: Yeah, we need a badie, and who better than Turreck?

Galdrohk was about to turn and explain he needed to walk out of the city to get Raish when the stable man brought the steed to him. he was confused at how they had gotten the horse to go into the city, let alone find it but he seemed calm and uncaring of the dragons. This is why they don't call me a Paladin yet. he thought slightly angry with himself for not being able to control his own horse. "We ride."

Athena bowed in her saddle. "I'll lead the way, my lord." Digging her heels into her horses flanks, Athena set off at a brisk canter. Nyriel was probebly already at the field, as Dragon's travelled incredibably quickly. Her black cloak streamed out behind her, billowing in the current of air. Athena hunched low over her mounts neck, letting the stallion fly across the ground. Eventually, Athena reigned her roan, Phoenix, to a halt near the edge of a vast field covered with high grass. As she predicted, Nyriel was already there, perched upon her gorgeous golden dragon. She truly looked imperial.

Galdrohk had Raish follow close behind Athena, he had no desire to get lost in a foreign land when there were oul wars afoot. Eventually they came to the edge of a grassy field and he got off of Raish. Nyriel was already there with her golden dragon. Galrohk realized he hadn't seen the dragon before, it's golden sheen could rival the magnifcence of Laurel. "What is this place?" he asked walking towards the mage and the princess.

Nyriel glanced around the field. It was really insignificant except for the fact that it was an excellent dragon training ground. "I believe this is just a field, Prince Galdrohk. However, We riders do occasionally train here. It is the perfect place for our large dragons." Nalura shifted her taloned feet and growled in assent. It is quite excellent, the dragon said, speaking to all the members of the group. Nalura had a rich, powerful, feline voice. "Yes, well, I suppose we had best begin our quest immediately, shall we not, Prince Galdrohk? Athena?" The mage had dissmounted and was holding her fiery mounts reigns in one hand. The woman's eyes were closed, and she held her other hand out as if she were letting sand drift between her fingers. "Yes your highness. I am ready to direct the wind in the direction we travel, so that lady Nalura can fly with ease." Nyriel smiled, greatly pleased.
"Thank you, Athena. I am happy you came along. It seems your skills will come of use during the long days to come." Athena bowed her hooded head in acceptance of the praise.

Galdrohk felt slightly stupid. Looking at i he couldn't imagine why it was important, it really was just a field. "Oh, I see." he said. "I too am ready to travel." Galdrohk said. For too long evil and misfortune had been surrounding him. Galdrohk was out now not to get away from those things but to destroy them.

Nyriel nodded. "I'm afraid I don't know where to start. Galdrohk, I assume you have some idea of which direction to head?" While she waited for him to reply, Nyriel absently stroked one of Nalura's glossy scales. It was smooth and cool, refreshing during this hot morning. Athena still had her eyes closed, and every once in a while the mages lips would move, as if she were chanting.
